Frank (Bruce Willis) is retired, bored and lonely, living on a state pension in a nondescript suburb, in an equally nondescript home. The only joy in Frank's life is his phone call to the state pension processing center when he talks to his caseworker Sarah (Mary-Louis Parker). Bored and lonely like Frank, Sarah considers her conversations about the unknown Frank and his spy novels to be the only fun things in her life. When something from Frank's past forces Frank back into his old job and puts an unwitting Sarah in the middle of the plot, Frank and Sarah embark on a journey into Frank's past and those he worked with. Like Frank, they are all RED... A very dangerous pension.
